Unlike standard 40CH VTX modules locked to the 5.8GHz band, the MATEN 5W spans 4.9GHz to 5.8GHz with 80 channels. Access the quieter 4.9GHz low band for long-range. Use standard 5.8GHz channels for general flying. Switch via IRC Tramp protocol through your Betaflight OSD. One VTX covers the entire usable FPV spectrum.
CNC Aluminum + Active Turbofan. 5W Runs Cool.
Five watts generates serious heat. The MATEN 5W manages it with a dual-cooling system: a high-strength CNC aluminum alloy shell (60×33.2×19.1mm) that passively conducts heat away from the RF electronics, and a built-in micro turbofan that actively forces air through the housing. Temperature control protection automatically reduces output power if temperatures exceed safe limits—preventing burnout while keeping your video link alive.
Built-in Microphone. Hear Your Flight.
The MATEN 5W carries a built-in microphone that captures real-time flight audio—motor RPM, wind shear, prop wash, environmental sounds. That audio streams alongside your video feed, synced to every frame. Diagnose mechanical issues by sound. Add immersion to DVR playback. Most high-power VTXs transmit in silence. The MATEN doesn't.
IRC Tramp. Full OSD Control.
Configure all settings—channels, bands, power levels, frequency selection—through your Betaflight OSD via IRC Tramp protocol. Buried deep in a long-range fuselage? No problem. One function button and three indicator LEDs provide manual backup. No physical access required for everyday operation.
7-36V Input. 5V 600mA Camera Output.
Direct 7-36V (2S-8S) LiPo input covers every battery configuration. Integrated 5V/600mA output powers your FPV camera or additional cooling fan directly—no separate BEC, no extra wiring. Note: 5V output is for camera/fan only. Do NOT connect battery power to 5V port.
